The opinions, insights and observations of a Christian fanatic, right-wing conservative, anti-abortion, pro-death penalty, pro-gun, recovering homosexual, incest/rape/abuse survivor who submits to her husband's authority and think you should do the same with yours. I admire police officers and military men and think women should cook for them, wash their uniforms and make sure they maintain their weapons daily...not be them. I believe pornographers should be flogged publicly until they weep, alongside those who perform the acts they depict. I'm the red-headed Irish tree-killing, meat-eating barbarian with the bible in one hand and a knobby club in the other standing at the gate and calling you out to fight.

I'm willing to answer any questions if you have if it confuses you though. I can certainly understand how it might these days. :D

Okie dokie...

"I find this article sadly mis-informed.
1. the X men was lanched during the 60’s post civil rights movement the underlined theme of the comic is equal for all despite your race. In this case twisting the race issue to a genetic issue of Mutantion . Where mutants were a repensentaion of the African American culture of the time who despite winning equality where still being descriminated against. so in effect it is a clever anti descrimnation message."

Which I'm sure was true in the 1960's. Why are you comfortable assuming the underlying discrimination being addressed today is still racism? I would think, as you suggest, it's become discrimination in general that's being addressed by the mutant stigma in the comics. I don't have a problem with that. Unjust and foolish discrimination (bigotry, actually, if you wanna get right down to it) should be pointed out as unjust and foolish. More power to 'em.

Still, not my point. I take umbrage at an established character suddenly being presented as gay to score points with the politically correct. It's insulting. Just as I find Nick Fury has suddenly become black. What was the point of that, do you think? Those two example don't strike you as just the sort of unjust and foolish form of discrimination the mutant stigma is supposed to be illustrating?

"2. Colossus is gay no punt intended but , Arnold almost play The big man in the X2 and 3 imagine a Republican govener playing a gay super hero LOL."

What's your point? Not even getting what's supposed to be funny here. I'm sorry but your humor seems a little hysterical to me.

"3.In the military Infadelity is punishable by up to one year of prison I’m a former MP. The UCMJ (Universal Code Of Military Justice) is very strict. So if you want you man to stay faithful marry a army man."

Assuming you're not just displaying more inappropriate laughter here, you approve of this then? So would you support outlawing adultery in the civilian sector as well? It was illegal in the country not all that long ago, so it wouldn't really be a new thing, you know.

I'd support that, for the record.

Otherwise...what's your point again? Was this supposed to convey something or are you just mocking?

"4.X men was also a drama comic which mean it was to mimic real life events and I dont know a person alive married who hasn’t been tempted to screw around on there Husband/Wife in the bad times of a marriage."

I think you forget it's a superhero comic, too. So it's supposed to mimic the "real life" of superhero's. Which rather brings this back around to the original point. Aren't we expecting our hero's to behave like adults anymore? At best you're making the argument that these comics aren't about superheros anymore and have become just some weird kind of soap opera now. If that's you're point then I'll probably agree.

Still doesn't address what this article is about. 'Cause it ain't about Wolverine, Cyclops and Jean Grey. Did you actually read it before deciding to comment?

"With that said The whole love triangle between Wolverine, Cyclops and Jean Makes for good reading. Also look into the Age of Apocolypse comic series where Jean was wolvie’s girl (greatest X Men comic series ever and there adapting it to Season 2 of Wolverine and the X men)"

I disagree. Seeing Wolverine, Cyclops and Jean respond to the situation they were in with some wisdom or even just plain doing the right thing would make for good, inspiring reading. And, again, I was (quite clearly) talking about the movie not the comics. Haven't read the comics. From everything I'm hearing I don't see any reason why in the world I'd want to.

"Don’t go preaching the Holy bible veiws because not all people belive in the way as we do. "

Um...seriously?

That's completely stupid. I'm sorry but it is. You seriously need to rethink that. Don't preach because others don't believe? What the heck do you think preaching means? What's the point of believing anything at all and keeping it to yourself? If you have a truth and you keep it to yourself...well, that's a horrible thing to do! I'd be ashamed of myself if I did that!

"I agree with you that Homosexuality is a Sin.If you don’t belive so look what God did to Sadom and Gamora. But that is there choice and they will answer for it on there day of judgement."

A choice they can always claim they were unaware of if no one bothers to confront them about it. We're commanded to spread the word, dude. And that's why. Step up to your duty.

If you agree with the great and wise supreme creator of the whole universe that homosexuality is a sin...why on earth would you have a problem with telling a homosexual that? How in the world can you not realize the horrible disservice you're doing them by not telling them?

"With that said start reading the comics you love the love/hate relationship Gambit and Rouge have. Enjoy and as always this is my opion."

Again, we're talking about superheros. And again, even that was one passing example in the article. And again, by focusing on that you're missing completely the entire point of the whole article.

Maybe go back and read the thing you're commenting on. That might be a good idea. It's about how adultery is presented in the entertainment media generally.

"And I also belive religion is the one great devider of are planet like OZZY says” Too many religion but only one god” so I make it a point to respect all whether there WICCAN, Buddist, ECT. and this is coming from a religious mut.(Baptist,Mormon,Roman Catholic,Lutherin,)"

Yes, it is. And that's good. Jesus Himself said clearly that He came to divide even households against one another. Why do you assume that's a bad thing then?

More to the point, have you ever considered how it could be good? Jesus said Himself that He came to cause division and was completely unapologetic about it. Rather indicates that He didn't have a problem with that. So...why not? How and under what circumstances would it be a good thing to cause division?

I'm still around and, on the interwebz at least, I can be found here most days.

Hope you'll come on over and have some fun, learn something new and teaches others something as well.

And, as far as the intro goes, it was inspired by someone else's, so I can't take much credit if you find you appreciate it.

Yes, depending. There are some crimes it would be ridiculous to restrict gun ownership for having committed. Likewise some mental illnesses.

As far as felons, I'll grant that most reluctantly. If we don't trust them with a gun, why are they on the street in the first place? I can't think of a crime bad enough that I'd agree with restricting someone's right to bear arms wherein the convict should be on the street anyway.

I'm on the extreme, radical, far-far-right wing, utterly loony spectrum when it comes to crime. I'm strongly in favor of a biblical standard for criminal justice, where the only punishments for criminal behavior are restitution, corporal punishment or execution. And under that system those convicts for whom I wouldn't quibble about rights to gun ownership would be all dead. And there wouldn't be that many of them, either. Practically none.

Likewise the mentally ill. Simply put, if they're sane enough to be on the street then there's no excuse for depriving them of any rights whatsoever. Conversely, if they're crazy enough that their rights should be abridged, then they shouldn't be on the street.

Yes, depending. There are some crimes it would be ridiculous to restrict gun ownership for having committed. Likewise some mental illnesses.

As far as felons, I’ll grant that most reluctantly. If we don’t trust them with a gun, why are they on the street in the first place? I can’t think of a crime bad enough that I’d agree with restricting someone’s right to bear arms wherein the convict should be on the street anyway.

I’m on the extreme, radical, far-far-right wing, utterly loony spectrum when it comes to crime. I’m strongly in favor of a biblical standard for criminal justice, where the only punishments for criminal behavior are restitution, corporal punishment or execution. And under that system those convicts for whom I wouldn’t quibble about rights to gun ownership would be all dead. And there wouldn’t be that many of them, either. Practically none.

I think I generally agree, but I'd like your comments on one scenario. That dude that shot up Virginia Tech a couple of years ago had been declared psychologically unstable by a licensed psychologist, and then went and bought two guns (separated by a one-month waiting period) and went and blew the heck out of a bunch of college students. Should the gun rights of 1) felons, or 2) the mentally unsound, be restricted, in your view?
